SESSION EIGHT: PLANNING YOUR CHRISTMAS DECORATING - INSPIRATION FROM THE DOLLAR STORE

PLANNING YOUR BEST HOLIDAYS EVER! series: SESSION EIGHT

When: Tuesday November 24

Where: Find the link on the top right-hand side of the Girl's Gathering Place blog by noon on Tuesday.

Speaker: Jennifer Jones

Session Description: Looking for a little inspiration to add some razzle and dazzle to your Christmas decor? Wondering how you will pay for it? Here's the good news. It doesn't have to be expensive! Have you ever thought of checking out your local dollar store?

In this session, Jenn shares some amazing ideas for YOUR holiday decorating--all centered around inspiration from dollar store treasures! Listen in. You'll be wanting to head out to the dollar store before the session is done!

About Jennifer: As far back as she can possibly remember, Jenn was HOPELESSLY in love with beautiful weddings! As a teenager, her bookshelf was a testament to my passion, housing every wedding and bridal magazine available on the newstands. Hours pouring over the latest and greatest wedding trends within those magazines continued to fuel Jenn's passion, and it was no surprise to those near and dear to her when she became a Certified Wedding Planner with The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada.

Besides wedding and event planning, Jenn loves to help women create a beautiful home--using what they already have--mixed with the creative use and re-purposing of items from the dollar store.

Jenn has just celebrated her first wedding anniversary. Kellen and Jenn are on staff at The People's Church in Toronto, Ontario.

Session Five: Planning S.P.A.C.E. to Cultivate a Devotional Lifestyle Christmas

PLANNING YOUR BEST HOLIDAYS EVER! series: SESSION FIVE

WHEN: Tuesday November 3, 2009
WHERE: Find the link on the top right-hand sidebar of the Girl's Gathering Place blog by noon on Tuesday!
SPEAKER: Kathy Butryn

SESSION DESCRIPTION:

It's the holiday season. Things to do. People to see. Places to go.

You begin to feel overwhelmed. Tired and irritated. Impatient and wanting to withdraw. You wonder where the joy surrounding the true "reason for the season" went to...and more importantly, how to get it back.

Have you been there? I sure have.

During a "post-session" evaluation not too many years ago, to my shock, I realized that the one most important thing in my life--daily spending time with God--was lost in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. No wonder I was such a mess!

God invites us to spend time with Him amidst all the activity swirling around us. How can we arrange our daily lives in such a way to make S.P.A.C.E. for Him? Everyday. In the holiday season or in the ordinary seasons of our everyday life?

Join us at the Girl's Gathering Place and download this practical, inspiring and encouraging session taught by Kathy Butryn on Tuesday November 3.

This year, intentionally plan S.P.A.C.E. to cultivate a devotional lifestyle Christmas!

ABOUT KATHY:

Hi…my name is Kathy Butryn, and like you, I wear many hats—wife, mom, pastor’s wife, homeschooling mom, corporate trainer, life coach, spiritual director, speaker—and I know all too well the challenges of intentionally arranging my busy life in such a way to  plan S.P.A.C.E. to cultivate a devotional lifestyle.

Spending time with God--my "first-thing" necessity--can often slide to second, third and fourth place in the reality of my everyday life.

In my own search and determination to cultivate this devotional lifestyle, God, in His grace, has taught me a few lessons along the way.  I’m looking forward to this session at the Girl's Gathering Place and sharing those lessons…and sharing the invitation that Jesus extends to each of us to come to Him and spend time with Him.

I live in Toronto, Ontario Canada with my husband Alan, and together we have two grown daughters, one teenage son, and one son-in-law. To relax, I love to read and knit.
